Thanks for joining! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m on a mission to help women make peace with their periods and it starts with honoring our body’s wisdom and power.
Each month, your period tells a story about the previous 21-35 days of your life. What is yours trying to tell you? If you don’t get one at all (and you want to), there’s a story there, too. I’m Melissa Danielle, and I invite you to reclaim your relationship with your body by getting to know your flow.
Period Repair Manual: Natural Treatment for Better Hormones and Better Periods can help you develop body literacy and awareness so that you can troubleshoot your symptoms and develop an appropriate course of action. Get your copy by clicking here.
If you are experiencing pelvic pain, I invite you to consult with a physical therapist that specializes in women’s health and pelvic health, as they are the practitioners most equipped to diagnose underlying causes of physical pain and provide you with a corrective course of action. You may also be interested in The Integrative Women’s Health Institute’sself-guided course on pelvic pain relief.
Other practitioners that can help with PMS, period, and pelvic pain are naturopaths, endocrinologists, functional medicine doctors, acupuncturists, herbalists, and massage therapists.
Desire, creativity, movement, and orgasm are integral to women’s health and healing.
How do you want to feel in your body and in your life? Lead with desire and the rest will follow. For more on that, start here.
You don’t have to be an artist to be creative. What have you always wanted to make, do, or be a part of? The Artist’s Way (yes, I know what I just said), The Creativity Challenge, Imagine, and Steal Like an Artist may be helpful.
Movement increases blood flow and circulation which affects hormone production which regulates ovulation, libido, and the other good stuff we want happening in our body. Energy grows where the attention flows, so consider movement that feels the most feminine to you, including anything that moves the waist and hips. I like hula hooping, belly dancing, and pole dancing. What about you?
The clitoris has 8,000 nerve endings dedicated solely to your pleasure. What might your life look like if you devoted it to your turn on? Women’s Anatomy of Arousal, The Multi-Orgasmic Woman, and Expanded Orgasm can help you find out.
What have you tried?
And how is it all working out for you? I want to hear your story. Click here to join my private FB group.
What else is period trying to tell you?
If you’re doing everything “right”, if you feel like your life is great and you’re still not at the level of health and vitality you desire, I invite you to book a session. Who Am I?
I’ve spent more than a decade building community around food as an integrative nutrition health coach in NYC, helping people transition to whole foods, plant-based diets and introducing them to their local food growers, purveyors, and business. I thought I was living a pretty healthy and connected life, until I self-diagnosed my PCOS (with confirmed bloodwork), and realized I had been living with it for over 20 years. Now, I’m supporting women over 35 throughout the entire spectrum of the childbearing year with period pain relief, conception, pregnancy, and beyond.
